Would you like to help solve a mystery? Can you help add to the family website? Perhaps you can make a phone call, take a photo, stop in at a library to check an old record or look at an old newspaper microfilm, use the internet to search for a name or a place connection. Here are some things we need:

Need to write to the St. Agnes Church to obtain records of Kohaneks. See the website “The Poles of Ashland, Wisconsin: 1884-1888” … according to the website there are definitely baptism records on site. Also, check the cemetery records: St. Agnes Cemetery, 106 2nd Avenue East, Ashland 54806; run by: St Agnes Cemetery Association, 201 Lake Shore Dr East, Ashland, WI 54806-1736 Phone: (715) 682-7620.

Get copy of divorce record of Ida and Frank Kohanek, divorce notice published 3/18/1930 (found in www.newspaperarchive.com) in the Appleton Post Crescent, Appleton, WI; Frank was a resident of Menasha, WI at this time. Frank is probably the son of Bernard Kohanek / Kochanek of WI — this is probably the Anthony Kohanek tree, since Anthony and Mary Schwerman settled in Wisconsin.
